Managing children’s use of social media and AI often feels like a battle over restrictions. Kids Rights Canada offerered a different path: a rights-based approach that prioritizes empowerment over limitation.

In the talk, we explored ways to equip children and youth to navigate the online world safely and responsibly, while encouraging open and respectful communication with their parents about social media and AI.

Parents left with practical skills and language that foster open dialogue, helping their children become resilient and responsible digital citizens.
